Mechanical designer- CAD Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
• Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and product documentation.
• Support design engineers in new product development and engineering change activities.
• Develop component and assembly designs based on technical specifications and requirements.
• Perform modifications to existing designs based on customer requirements and manufacturing feedback.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, drawing practices, and company procedures.
• Maintain drawing revision records and document control systems.
• Assist in prototype development, testing, and product validation activities.

Technical Skills

CAD Software Proficiency

Hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

• SolidWorks
• Creo (Pro-E)
• Autodesk Inventor
• CATIA
• AutoCAD

Design Knowledge

• 3D Modelling and Assembly Design
• Parametric Modeling Techniques
• 2D Manufacturing Drawings
• Basic Sheet Metal Design
• Engineering Drawing Standards
• GD&T Fundamentals
• BOM Preparation
• Product Data Management and PLM Systems (Preferred)

Manufacturing Knowledge

Basic understanding of:

• Sheet Metal Fabrication
• Laser Cutting

• Experience working with engineering change requests and revision control.
