Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Create 3D parts, assemblies and mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
• Prepare 2D manufacturing, fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Design sheet-metal components, furnace enclosures, structural frames and mechanical assemblies.
• Prepare furnace GA drawings, equipment layouts and detailed drawings.
• Generate BOMs (Bill of Materials), cutting lists and material take-offs.
• Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
• Modify designs as per project requirements and maintain updated engineering drawings.
• Ensure compliance with company design standards and quality requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 13 years of experience in SolidWorks and mechanical design.
• Good knowledge of 3D modelling, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Practical understanding of sheet-metal design, fabrication, welding and structural components.
• Experience in preparing GA drawings, BOMs and material take-offs.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Experience in industrial machinery, furnace manufacturing or fabrication equipment will be preferred.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to work full-time at our factory in Khirasara GIDC, Rajkot
