Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Core CAD Skills: Hands-on experience in 3D CAD modelling using any major 3D software such as Creo, SolidWorks, Unigraphics (Siemens NX), or CATIA.
• Communication: Must be fluent/proficient in English (likely for client interaction, global teams, or technical documentation).
• Added Advantages (Preferred):
• Direct experience working in the gear or gearbox manufacturing industry.
• Prior exposure to Product Design environments (taking a product from concept to 3D model, understanding design intents, fitment, and assembly).
• Familiarity with gear terminology, standard gear profiles, and transmission layout design.

Preferred candidate profile

AUMA India Private Limited is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who can take ownership of long-term engineering and product development projects involving electric actuators, valve gearboxes, and related mechanical systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in mechanical design, 3D modelling, design calculations, and product development, along with the ability to independently plan, execute, and manage complex projects from concept to completion. The role requires a proactive professional who can work effectively with cross-functional teams, address technical challenges, ensure design quality and reliability, and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in line with AUMA India's engineering objectives. We are looking for someone who demonstrates long-term commitment, accountability, and the capability to drive projects successfully through to completion.
