Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Understanding the customer requirements and preparing designs, models & drawings accordingly.
• Quality delivery of designs & drawings as per Customer requirements.
• On-time delivery of the designs/projects as per agreed timelines.
• Ensure all designs and processes comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
• Support the Team Lead/Project Lead for the project deliveries.
• Follow Quality System to ensure the delivery of the designs, models, drawings & technical documentation as per customer expectations.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the CAD tools.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors/masters degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design & detailed engineering.
• Technical Expertise:
• Should have hands-on experience with SolidWorks 3D Modelling & drafting.
• Experience with Parametric 3D Modelling would be an added advantage.
• Should have hands-on experience with Conveyors (roller/chain), Material Handling Equipment, Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
• Should have good knowledge of Engineering mechanics, machine design, linkages & mechanisms.
• Should have a good understanding of drawings & designs.
• Should have good knowledge of welding, machining, and GD&T.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Should be proactive and eager to learn new things.
• Should have good communication skills.
• Should be supportive & good team player.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with SolidWorks CAD Tool.
• Mechanical component selection & design calculations
• Hands-on experience with Parametric 3D Modelling.
