Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of mechanical design activities, from basic design through detailed design and preparation of final drawings, based on the requirements of customers such as shipbuilding manufacturers, major steel companies, and logistics-related businesses.
Main Workflow
- Preparation of quotation drawings
- Customer specification meetings
- Planning and conceptual design
- Preparation of approval drawings
- Preparation of manufacturing drawings
- Design reviews
- Issuing final drawings
- Preparation of operation manuals
- Follow-up after delivery
CAD Software
- 2D: AutoCAD
- 3D: Autodesk Inventor
You will have the opportunity to be involved in the entire design process, from initial planning through manufacturing and delivery.
Requirements
Must Have
- Japanese language proficiency: JLPT N3 or above
- University-level study of the Four Fundamental Mechanics:
- Mechanics of Materials
- Mechanical Dynamics
- Fluid Mechanics
- Thermodynamics
- Practical work experience using CAD
Preferred / Welcome
- Candidates with a regular driver's license are highly welcome.
- Conversion of a foreign driver's license to a Japanese driver's license is possible.

Salary & Benefits
Monthly Salary: 240,000 – ¥300,000
Salary Increase: Available
Bonus: Approximately 3 months' salary per year, paid in July and December
Additional Allowances
Commuting Allowance: Up to ¥45,000/month
Family Allowance:
- Spouse: ¥15,000/month
- Child: ¥5,000/month
Family allowance is applicable only when the spouse/child is registered as a dependent family member.
Working Hours
8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Actual working hours: 8 hours
- Break: 60 minutes
- Average overtime: Approximately 20 hours/month
Holidays & Leave
Annual Holidays: 124 days
- Complete two-day weekend system
- Year-end/New Year holidays
- Summer holidays
- Other company-designated holidays
Paid Annual Leave
- Joining by June: 10 days
- Joining from July: 5 days

- Written-answer questions
- Calculation-based questions
- Freehand technical drawing
- Permitted items: Writing instruments and calculator only
- Duration: 60 minutes
