Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for company products.
• Work closely with assembly and procurement teams to ensure smooth product development.
• Understand customer and market requirements and translate them into practical mechanical designs.
• Participate in design reviews and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Design mechanical parts considering material selection, manufacturability, ergonomics, and end-user requirements.
• Optimize product designs for durability, ruggedness, and overall cost.
• Provide timely technical support and resolve mechanical design-related production issues.
• Coordinate with the shop floor and production teams for design implementation and improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in Mechanical Design.
• Hands-on experience with 2D and 3D CAD/design software.
• Experience in machine design / Special Purpose Machines (SPM) is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of engineering materials and their properties.
• Knowledge of mechanical OEM component selection.
• Experience working closely with manufacturing/assembly and shop-floor teams.
• Good understanding of mechanical components, manufacturing, and product development.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
