Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for Reverse Vending Machines.
• Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, sheet metal, and weldment designs (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
• Support prototype building and resolve technical issues during production.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and production teams for seamless system integration.
• Perform simulations (FEA) and ensure designs meet manufacturability and quality standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and QA test plans.
• Design and develop sheet metal and weldment components for manufacturability.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical design (automation/machinery preferred).
• Strong knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and GD&T standards.
• Hands-on experience in sheet metal, weldments, and manufacturing processes (CNC, bending, welding).
• Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles, BOM preparation, and prototype development.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills; FEA knowledge is a plus.
