Mechanical Design Engineer | ECO/ECN/ECR

Job Description:

We are hiring for a Mechanical Engineer position.

Experience Required: 4-10 Years

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in Engineering Change Management (ECO/ECR/ECN), Sustaining Engineering, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering. The candidate should have strong design experience in vessels, tanks, valves, static equipment, heat exchangers, pumps, blowers, skids, and fabricated mechanical packages, along with proficiency in CAD tools and PLM systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and equipment such as vessels, tanks, valves, static equipment, heat exchangers, pumps, blowers, skids, and fabricated assemblies.
• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, detailed manufacturing drawings, and BOMs using CAD tools.
• Execute and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
• Perform design modifications, product upgrades, and value engineering activities for existing products.
• Review engineering specifications, customer requirements, and manufacturing constraints to ensure robust designs.
• Support sustaining engineering initiatives by resolving design-related issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and project teams for successful product realization.
• Manage engineering documentation, revision control, and product data within PLM systems.
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and manufacturability assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, standardization, and product enhancement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 410 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
• Strong experience in ECO/ECR/ECN, Sustaining Engineering, Product Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in designing process equipment, pressure vessels, tanks, valves, static equipment, heat exchangers, pumps, blowers, skids, or fabricated mechanical packages.
• Proficiency in any CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, NX, or AutoCAD.
• Experience with PLM tools such as Teamcenter, Windchill, Agile PLM, Arena, etc.
• Knowledge of GD&T, BOM management, engineering documentation, and revision control.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
