Mechanical Assembly Fitter

Role & responsibilities:

- Assemble Special Purpose Machines (SPM), automation equipment, jigs and fixtures as per engineering drawings and BOM.

- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, tolerances and assembly instructions.

- Fit and align mechanical parts - shafts, bearings, gearboxes, motors, linear guides, ball screws and couplings.

- Install pneumatic cylinders, valves and tubing; support basic hydraulic connections.

- Use hand tools, power tools, drilling, tapping and measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, dial gauge).

- Support machine trials, testing and commissioning, including at customer sites when required.

- Carry out rework and modifications based on trial feedback; maintain 5S and safety on the shop floor.

- Coordinate with the design, electrical and fabrication teams.

Preferred candidate profile:

- ITI (Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

- 2-5 years of assembly fitting experience in SPM, automation or machine-building companies.

- Good at reading drawings and using measuring instruments.

- Willing to work at Sector 35, Gurugram and travel to customer sites when needed.
