Mechanical Assembly Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of advanced surgical robotic systems.

This role involves hands-on mechanical assembly subsystem integration, and supporting validation activities while ensuring high precision, reliability, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform mechanical assembly of robotic subsystems and full systems.
2. Assemble wiring harnesses, connectors, and cables with mechanical substances.
3. Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and BOMs.
4. Support PCB mounting, motor integration, sensor installation, and actuator assembly.
5. Perform basic functional testing and assist in system validation.
6. Identify and report assembly defects or deviations.
7. Maintain documentation for build records and revision control.
8. Follow ESD, safety, and quality protocols during assembly.
9. Coordinate with engineering teams for troubleshooting and design feedback.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / Polytechnic in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• 14 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly.
• Experience working with precision components and structured assembly processes.

1. Strong mechanical assembly skills.
2. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and assembly documentation.
3. Basic knowledge GD&T00
4. Familiarity with hand tools, torque tools, and measurement instruments.
5. Attention to detail and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Good to Have

• Experience in medical devices, robotics, or precision equipment manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ESD-safe work environments.
• Exposure to ISO-based quality systems.
