About the Role

Cresdata Information Technology LLC is looking for an MCX Operations Executive to manage day-today operational activities related to commodity trading and ensure smooth execution, reconciliation, reporting, and coordination across trading and back-office functions. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of MCX operations, commodity markets, trade processing, reconciliation, margins, settlements, and MIS reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail, numerical ability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate day-to-day MCX trading operations.

• Handle trade/order-related operational activities and ensure accurate processing.

• Monitor open positions, margins, exposure and settlement requirements.

• Perform daily trade and account reconciliation and identify discrepancies.

• Coordinate with brokers, clearing members, banks and internal stakeholders for operational requirements. • Prepare and maintain daily MIS, trading reports, reconciliation statements and operational dashboards.

• Monitor pay-in/pay-out, margin obligations and settlement-related activities.

• Ensure timely completion of BOD (Beginning of Day) and EOD (End of Day) processes.

• Track and maintain records of trades, transactions, client accounts and operational documentation.

• Identify operational discrepancies and coordinate their resolution.

• Maintain accurate records in internal trading/back-office systems.

• Stay updated on relevant MCX, SEBI and regulatory circulars/procedures affecting operations.

• Support the trading team with operational and analytical information. • Maintain confidentiality of trading, financial and client-related information.

• Ensure all operational activities are completed within prescribed timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 1–4 years of experience in MCX, commodity trading, broking, financial markets, or trade/backoffice operations.

• Good understanding of MCX and commodity derivatives.

• Knowledge of futures, margins, positions and settlement processes.

• Strong MS Excel skills — VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, reconciliation and MIS preparation.

• Strong numerical and analytical ability.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet market-related deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience working with a commodity broker, proprietary trading firm, financial services company, or commodity trading desk.

• Knowledge of MCX trading terminals / OMS / RMS / back-office systems.

• Familiarity with SPAN margin, exposure margin and risk monitoring.

• Knowledge of Indian commodity-market regulations.

• Experience handling high-volume transactions and daily reconciliation.
