Understanding andfollow the process and instruction
Assigning CPT (Current ProceduralTerminology)
MIPS (Merit-Based Incentive PaymentSystem)
HCPCS (Healthcare Common ProcedureCoding System)
ICD-10-CM (InternationalClassification of Diseases Tenth revision Clinical Modification)
Account for coding and abstracting ofpatient encounters
Research and analyse data need forreimbursement
Make sure that codes are sequencedaccording to government and insurance regulations
Ensure all medical records are codedand processed accurately
Analyse medical records and identifydocumentation deficiencies
Review and verify documentation fordiagnoses, procedures, and treatment results
Identify diagnostic and proceduralinformation
Interpreting medicalcharts and identifying the medical necessity and the procedure rendered
