Material Testing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct testing of construction materials such as cement, concrete, aggregates, soil, bricks, blocks, steel, bitumen, and asphalt.
• Prepare and identify samples as per applicable testing standards.
• Perform tests according to relevant IS codes and laboratory SOPs.
• Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
• Record test observations, calculations, and results accurately.
• Prepare test reports and maintain laboratory records.
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures and NABL requirements.
• Check equipment calibration status before testing.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and follow safety guidelines.
• Report any testing errors, equipment issues, or non-conformities to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with the Quality Manager and Technical Manager.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned testing activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Freshers or candidates with 01 year of experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of construction material testing and relevant IS codes.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
• Good observation, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate test records and reports.
• Willingness to learn and work in a laboratory environment.
• Candidates from Surat or nearby locations preferred.
