Master Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Spare Part Catalogue Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to create, maintain, and improve Spare Part Catalogues for marine and energy products. This role involves reviewing engineering data, product structures, bills of materials, drawings, and spare part information to ensure accurate, complete, and consistent catalogue content while supporting project processing and catalogue quality requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain Spare Part Catalogue structures, sections, and spare part information.
• Review EBOMs, equipment lists, drawings, and engineering data to identify and define applicable spare parts.
• Analyse existing catalogue content and determine opportunities for reuse, revision, or creation of new sections.
• Verify material numbers, part descriptions, quantities, revisions, and other spare part attributes for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, SMEs, and documentation teams to validate technical and spare part information.
• Process Spare Part Catalogue activities using systems such as Teamcenter, WSHS, Polarion, and relevant documentation tools.
• Perform quality checks and validations to ensure catalogue content complies with defined guidelines, processes, and documentation standards.
• Support XML generation, validation, publishing, and SAP-related data transfer activities as required.
• Identify and resolve catalogue data inconsistencies, processing issues, and quality-related problems.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Spare Part Catalogue processes, guidelines, and quality standards.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned catalogue activities in accordance with project requirements and agreed delivery timelines.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and provide updates on project progress, issues, and required actions.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in Spare Part Catalogue development, technical documentation, engineering data, or product structure management is preferred.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), equipment structures, and spare part identification.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter, WSHS, Polarion, XML-based documentation, or similar engineering and content management systems is desirable.
• Knowledge of spare parts, material numbers, product structures, and catalogue processes is an advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, quality, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineering, documentation, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, process-oriented, and customer-focused environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, responsible for handling customer’s project and product documentation, including Partner/Vendor/Supplier documentation, transmittals handling, updating and maintaining master document list, the product information structure, coordinating the changes of the product structure as well as product and project documentation, giving user support in documentation issues.
