Market Research Project Manager

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager to manage end-to-end market research projects (online and offline) both Quantitative and Qualitative.

This role requires strong skills in Excel (advanced formulas, macros, large datasets), data validation, and project coordination. The person should be highly organized, able to handle multiple projects at once, and take full ownership from setup to reporting.

Proposal & Feasibility Stage

• Obtain costs and feasibility checks from offline vendors and online panel teams/partners for new projects
• Support in preparing proposal inputs, timelines, and budgets

Project Setup & Launch

• Handle project kick-off meetings with internal and external stakeholders to align on objectives, timelines, and responsibilities.
• Manage setup & launch of Quantitative and Qualitative research projects.
• Coordinate with teams for questionnaire finalization, survey programming, and testing
• Conduct briefings for field or panel teams before project initiation

Tracking & Quality Control

• Monitor field progress, ensure sample balance and timely completion
• Conduct multi-level data quality checks, flag anomalies, and ensure fixes.
• Back-check project data and update backend records post verification.
• Maintain trackers and dashboards for project status and progress

Data Management & Reporting

• Work extensively on Excel for data validation
• Use advanced formulas & macros to manage large datasets
• Prepare Excel toplines for clients summarizing key findings.
• Assist in data and report charting, and prepare the first draft of client reports.

Coordination & Communication

• Act as the single point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal/global teams
• Manage status calls, updates, and documentation for each project
• Collaborate with scripting, data, and design teams for timely delivery
• Coordinate client invoicing and closure post project delivery

Ownership & Delivery

• Take complete ownership from setup to reporting
• Anticipate risks, resolve issues quickly, and maintain quality
• Ensure all deliverables meet timelines, accuracy, and client expectations.

Requirements:

Must Have

1. 5+ years experience in Market Research Project Management (Quant & Qual)

2. High-level Excel skills formulas, pivots, macros, large data handling

3. Strong understanding of online & offline research execution

4. Experience in project management for both Quantitative & Qualitative research

5. Good written and verbal communication (including with global teams)

6. Ability to handle 45 projects simultaneously with precision

7. High ownership, accountability, and attention to detail

Good to have

1. Exposure to digital and mobile-based research platforms

2. Knowledge and hands-on experience with digital questionnaire scripting tools

3. Vendor management and cost negotiation skills

4. Experience in data analysis

Education

MBA or equivalent (preferably in Marketing, Market Research, or Analytics)
