Role Overview-

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in driving efficiency and continuous improvement across our production operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles, a solid understanding of time and motion studies, PFMEA, and the ability to design and optimize shopfloor layouts.

Role Description and Key Responsibilities

The role involves tasks including but not limited to -

• Implement and sustain 5S principles to ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment across all production areas.
• Lead and support Lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, improve process flow, and enhance productivity, Line rework reduction.
• Conduct basic time and motion studies to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in operational methods and workstation setups.
• Participate in and facilitate the development of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plan to proactively identify and mitigate process risks
• Design and optimize shopfloor layouts to improve material flow, reduce bottlenecks, and support ergonomic practices.
• Drive data-driven decision-making through strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
• SAT, FAT & Commissioning of new machines as per layout & Proving as per quality targets.
• Analyze and improve manufacturing performance using OEE, Throughput, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Work cross-functionally with quality, production, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
• Assist in the introduction of new processes and technologies, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
• Support continuous improvement projects using tools like Kaizen, root cause analysis, Poka Yoke Implementation
  

Desired Qualifications and Experience-

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 45 years of experience in a manufacturing/process engineering role.

Desired Skills and Attributes-

• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
• Process implementation as per IATF16949
• Product development as per APQP phase gate processes
• Basic understanding of time and motion study techniques.
• SPC, MSA, Core Quality tools
• Experience or exposure to PFMEA and risk assessment tools.
• Proficient in designing efficient shopfloor layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
