About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Manual Tester / QA Engineer with at least 1 year of professional experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing web and mobile applications, identifying and reporting defects, and ensuring software quality throughout the development life cycle.

The role involves collaborating with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to validate application functionality, improve product reliability, and deliver a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on functional and business requirements.
• Perform functional, smoke, sanity, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing of web and mobile applications.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar bug-tracking tools.
• Perform REST API testing using Postman, including request and response validation, HTTP status codes, and error handling.
• Validate application functionality across different browsers, devices, and testing environments.
• Perform database validation using basic SQL queries to verify data accuracy and consistency.
• Investigate frontend issues using browser Developer Tools, including Console and Network tabs.
• Conduct retesting and regression testing to verify defect fixes and ensure existing functionality remains unaffected.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify expected behaviour, and resolve application issues.
• Prepare and maintain test execution reports, defect reports, and QA documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional experience in Manual Software Testing or Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and the defect life cycle.
• Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Good knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Experience using JIRA or similar defect-tracking tools.
• Basic knowledge of REST API testing using Postman.
• Familiarity with browser Developer Tools for debugging and identifying application issues.
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries and database validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Good to Have

• Experience testing both web and mobile applications.
• Exposure to different application environments, including Development, QA, UAT, and Production.

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Hinjewadi Phase 2 office in Pune, requiring attendance five days a week. The selected candidate will work closely with the development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
