Manual QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of web applications, SaaS products, user interfaces, and end-to-end workflows.
• Conduct exploratory, functional, regression, and negative testing to identify functional bugs, edge cases, and workflow failures.
• Independently explore applications, understand expected behaviour, and identify issues beyond predefined test cases.
• Validate application workflows by comparing actual behaviour against expected requirements and reference applications.
• Create and execute test scenarios, test cases, test plans, and regression checklists.
• Identify, document, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, severity, and supporting evidence.
• Retest reported defects, verify fixes, and perform regression testing before releases.
• Validate task instructions for clarity and completeness and ensure assigned tasks can be completed as intended.
• Test task graders to identify incorrect pass/fail evaluations, false positives, false negatives, and edge cases.
• Verify final application states against expected task outcomes.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to investigate defects, clarify requirements, and improve application quality.
• Prioritise issues based on severity and business impact while managing multiple testing cycles and deadlines.
