About this role
We’re looking for a detail-driven Functional Manager to own back-end reporting, demand-inventory analytics, and compliance for stall application and allotment processes. You’ll turn raw numbers into accurate, actionable insights, ensure every process aligns with old and new policies, and build a central data bank of records for future planning. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with reporting tools, software understanding and zero tolerance for errors in numbers. Further, the candidate will keep a record and create a library of information related to application and allotment, etc.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Back-End Reporting & Analysis - Generate daily, weekly, and post-event flash reports covering stall applications/bookings, payments, allotments, and revenue reconciliations. - Consolidate data from multiple sources to create clear, pointer-wise reports highlighting discrepancies, risks, and trends. - Maintain data integrity by cross-verifying numbers across systems before reports are shared with management and external agencies. 2.
Demand & Inventory Analytics for Stall Allotment - Analyze demand received vs. available inventory to prepare stall allotment analytics and recommendations. - Identify gaps, over-subscribed sections, and under-utilized areas to support optimal allotment decisions. - Provide data-backed inputs for pricing, section planning, and inventory adjustments for upcoming shows. 3.
Data Bank Creation & Management - Drive and execute the creation of a centralized data bank for stall, section, and show-wise data. - Maintain historical and current data for old and future reference, enabling trend analysis and faster decision-making. - Ensure the data bank is updated, structured, and accessible for reporting, audits, and planning. 4.
Software & Systems Support - Use and maintain reporting tools like MS Excel, Power BI, SAP, or similar ERP/CRM systems to support data analysis and reporting. - Work with IT/software teams to troubleshoot data issues, validate system outputs, and improve report automation. - Ensure all reports are audit-ready and can be accessed quickly for review meetings. 5.
Compliance & Policy Management - Monitor and ensure compliance with both legacy and updated policies for stall applications, allotment, cancellations, and refunds. - Identify gaps between policy and on-ground execution; flag issues and propose corrective measures. - Maintain documentation of policy changes and ensure teams are updated on new compliance requirements. 6. Coordination & Review - Support functional teams and event management agencies with accurate data for pre-event, during-event, and post-event reviews. - Participate in post-show review meetings and present findings with clear, data-backed insights. - Act as the single point of contact for all backend data and compliance queries related to stall operations. Coordinate with all required functional teams and regional offices and teams for day-to-day smooth functions, and play a pivotal role during set-up and show days as well as in planning and execution of the show and respective functional and logistics teams R
equired Skills & Competencies - *Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret large datasets, compare demand vs. supply, and derive actionable insights. - *Attention to Detail: Eye for accuracy in numbers, calculations, and documentation. No room for estimation errors. - Software Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SQL basics preferred. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP, or similar tools is an added advantage - *Data Management: Experience in building and maintaining structured data banks/databases. - *Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of policy frameworks, audit requirements, and change management for operational processes. - *Communication: Ability to present complex data simply to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - *Execution: Proactive in driving projects end-to-end, from data collection to final report and implementation. * Drafting communication circulars for trade and other commercial opportunities Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred. - 6+years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or back-end operations, preferably in exhibitions, events, or a magazine, newspaper or online platform. - Proven track record of managing compliance and data-driven allotment processes. Key knowledge of software and back ends to work closely with IT teams for the processes required in day-to-day work *Key Attributes - Highly organized and deadline-driven. - Uncomfortable with ambiguity in data. - Able to work under pressure during live events and deliver accurate reports on tight timelines. - High integrity and confidentiality in handling financial and operational data.
