Job Summary
Position Overview
Responsibilities
- Engagement Management: Review and manage complex accounting engagements, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Analyze engagement scope to manage schedules, budgets, and deadlines effectively. Monitor compliance with reporting deadlines and time budgets.
- Financial Oversight: Provide CFO-level support, including financial reviews and management reporting. Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts in collaboration with clients. Maintain direct interaction with partners and clients, providing strategic financial insights.
- Accounting Operations: Lead accounting clean-up projects and ensure books are audit ready. Oversee month-end and year-end closings, including review of financial statements prepared by staff. Manage inventory accounting and reporting.
- Compliance Filings: Ensure payroll compliance and manage payroll return filings (Forms 940 and 941). Handle sales tax calculations and filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- System Process Management: Lead accounting system migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and data integrity.
- Team Leadership Development: Assign duties, train staff, and oversee performance across multiple engagements. Mentor and coach team members to support their professional development. Supervise Senior, Staff, and Associate Accountants, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
