Manager

Role & responsibilities :-

1. Operations Management

• Oversee end-to-end employee transportation and corporate car rental operations across assigned locations.
• Ensure timely vehicle deployment, route planning, scheduling, and trip execution.
• Monitor daily operations and resolve service disruptions, vehicle breakdowns, and customer escalations.
• Ensure smooth operations across shifts, including employee pick-up and drop services.

2. Fleet and Vendor Management

• Manage fleet availability, vehicle utilization, driver deployment, and vendor performance.
• Coordinate with transport vendors to ensure vehicle availability and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, fitness certificates, permits, insurance, and other statutory requirements.
• Optimize fleet utilization and minimize vehicle downtime and operational costs.

3. Client Relationship Management

• Manage relationships with corporate clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular operational review meetings and share performance reports with clients.
• Handle client escalations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to contractual commitments, SLAs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

4. Team Management

• Lead and supervise operations managers, transport coordinators, supervisors, and other operational staff.
• Define team responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure accountability.
• Train team members on operational processes, customer service, safety, and compliance.
• Ensure effective coordination between operations, sales, finance, HR, and vendor teams.

5. Cost Control and Business Performance

• Monitor operational expenses, transportation costs, and fleet utilization.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Manage vendor billing, trip reconciliation, and cost analysis in coordination with the finance team.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports covering fleet performance, service delivery, costs, and client feedback.

6. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and company policies.
• Monitor driver documentation, background verification, training, and conduct.
• Implement employee transportation safety protocols, including escalation and emergency response procedures.
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents and maintenance of operational records.

Preferred candidate profile :-

• Strong knowledge of employee transportation, corporate mobility, and car rental operations.
• Excellent fleet, route, vendor, and workforce management skills.
• Experience in client handling, escalation management, and SLA compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, and operational dashboards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, operational priorities, and time-sensitive requirements.

Educational Qualification and Experience

• Graduate in any discipline; an MBA or postgraduate qualification in Operations or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience in transportation, fleet management, corporate mobility, or car rental operations.
• Prior experience managing large-scale employee transportation operations and corporate accounts is preferred.
• Experience handling a team, transport vendors, operational budgets, and client escalations is essential.
