Manager

Role & responsibilities:

1. Budgeting & Financial Planning: Prepare annual budgets, departmental budgets, and financial plans aligned with organizational objectives and business targets.

2. Budget vs. Actual Analysis: Monitor financial performance against approved budgets, analyze variances, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.

3. Project-Wise Profitability: Track project-wise revenue, costs, margins and profitability; identify cost overruns, margin erosion and opportunities for improvement.

4. Cash Flow Management: Prepare cash flow statements and projected cash flows, monitor liquidity, track funding requirements and identify potential cash flow gaps.

5. Forecasting & Re-forecasting: Develop monthly and quarterly financial forecasts and revise projections based on actual performance, project developments and changing business requirements.

6. MIS & Management Reporting: Prepare and maintain Customer MIS, Delta MIS and other management dashboards covering revenue, expenditure, profitability, collections and financial performance.

7. Financial Analysis & Insights: Analyse financial trends, assess business performance, identify financial risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to management.

8. Financial Due Diligence: Evaluate the financial viability, cost implications, expected returns and risks associated with new projects, business opportunities and strategic initiatives.

9. Revenue & Collection Monitoring: Monitor project billing, customer collections, outstanding receivables and their impact on cash flow; coordinate with relevant teams to improve collection efficiency.

10. Cost Control & Margin Improvement: Identify cost inefficiencies, monitor expenditure and support initiatives to improve project margins, resource utilisation and overall profitability.

11. Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with Finance & Accounts, Project Directors, Business Heads and other departments for budgeting, financial reviews, forecasting and performance monitoring.

12. Process Improvement & Financial Controls: Standardise financial reporting formats, improve data accuracy, strengthen internal financial controls and enhance the efficiency of budgeting and reporting processes.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong financial planning, budgeting and forecasting capabilities.
• Good understanding of project costing, profitability analysis and cash flow management.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling and MIS reporting.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities.
