Purpose of the job:

• To promote and maintain sound employee relations through industrial peace, transparent and fair dealings.
• Handling complaints, managing grievance procedures and facilitating counseling in conjunction with other stakeholders. Investigating and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.

Job Description:

Personnel and Industrial Relations:

To maintain peaceful and harmonious Industrial relations by the following activities:

• To carry out HR projects and ensuring its implementation maintaining smooth relations.
• To coordination with all the departments and provide assistance regarding matter pertaining to labour and administrative issues.
• To enforce discipline amongst the employees and take disciplinary action whenever required.
• Redressal of employees grievances by Grievance redressal procedure.
• To coordinating contractors meetings and follow up for actions.
• To monitor contractor workers canteen for efficient and effective service.
• To coordinate Welfare Committee meetings for planning and implementation of welfare related activities.
• To sustain the working together culture by way of joint committees and involving active participation of the employees.
• To extend necessary support to the employees at their critical times e.g. sickness, medical emergency, death, etc.
• Giving morale boost to the employees and acting as a change agent for taking up challenges in the changing environment.

Legal & Statutes:

• Represent management on all legal matters and court cases and ensure timely disposal in favor.
• To ensure effective functioning of statutory committees and implementation of decisions taken therein.
• Comply all statutory returns, renewal of licenses, and registration under various provisions.
• Regulate the Apprenticeship Training and monitor performance.

Contract Management:

• To ensure optimum deployment of contract workforce in contract activities in the plant.
• To comply all statutory obligations under Contract Act.

Quality Systems

• Ensure compliance under QMS, EMS and OHSAS in the department and strive for continual improvements.
• Responsible for internal control effectiveness monitoring for the processes in the domain of job responsibility

Liaisoning:

• Ensure effecting and fruitful relationship with Government Officials, Public Administration, Political Circles and people who matters.

Health and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with NVCL H&S policy.
• Contribute for maintain Zero Fatality and Zero LTI.
• Facilitate in providing safe working environment for employees.
• To monitor personnel functions and establish harmonious Industrial Relations at plant and mines including contractor workers in lines to meet the business objectives and organizational goals covering permanent employees and contractor workers in plant.
• To plan and implement welfare and other social activities for the employees within the budget.
• To maintain liaison with the Government authorities for statutory compliance as per the provisions of various labour Acts.
• To carry out the functions of the department in absence of Head HR

Qualification:

Graduate with MBA or PGDM in HR

Experience:

Min. 10 - 20 yrs experience Human Resource Department
