Manager/ Sr. Manager - Industrial Engineering (IE)

Role & responsibilities

• Plan & manage all aspects of industrial engineering activities.
• Plan and design industrial engineering processes, tools, procedures and production layouts for existing and new lines or machines.
• Monitor and ensure the continuous improvement in production line or process efficiency through Cycle Time reduction.
• Plan, study and analyze SMT & THT cycle time and accordingly maintain the matrix.
• Plan and ensure proper forecasting of manpower requirement calculation as per Volume and Cycle time.
• Conduct overall process studies and evaluate the data to improve the utilization of resources by using the Lean tools.
• Plan and conduct time study, method study, cycle time improvement activities and line balancing with TAKT time concept to eliminate waste from process.
• Plan and conduct MOST technique to study and set the standard time to perform a task.

• Analyse and evaluate of all process and project to identify the areas for improvement, increase the efficiency to reduce the cost and waste.
• Capacity calculation as per forecast and Cycle time and ensure improvements projects by identifying the bottlenecks.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
• Manage project timeline and budgets and ensure the all projects are completed on time within the defined budget.
• Execution & monitoring of the SOPs, Work Instructions, Process manuals & suggesting necessary modifications if required.
• Develop and implement the strategies for Operational Excellence like DMAIC, Lean Management, Six Sigma, PFMEA, Poka Yoke, TPM, QIT / PIT, Kaizen etc.
• Providing coaching & mentoring to the team for enhancing the competencies & supporting the HR team in identifying the Learning & Development needs of the department.
• Devising action plan to achieve the defined Departmental KPIs Objectives.

Ensure that all process compile with Industry standards, safety regulations, quality control requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Expertise in analysis of MOST technique, Takt Time, Cycle Time, UPH, UPPH, Line Balancing, Work Study, Time Study etc.
• Expertise in analyzing OEE & OLE
• Expertise in understanding of SMT process flow
• Exposure in installation and commissioning of various lines and machines

• Sound understanding and knowledge in preparing and implementing various SOPs of IE
• Deep knowledge in Auto-Cad (2D & 3D) process and having expertise in making factory layouts as per industrial standard

Expertise in the implementation of the Lean Techniques or Lean Management, PFMEA, Poka Yoke, QIT / PIT, TPM, Kaizen etc.
