Manager, Sourcing & Project Management

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Indo-Pac Procurement, this role will manage Direct Materials souring & Project Management for India region and be responsible for recruiting the correct talent to manage the team assigned. Main responsibilities include supplier identification, RFX, Negotiations, Commercial Terms, Supplier Relationship Management, QBR, social compliance, new product development. You will work closely with the category managers, segments sourcing and product design teams, and QA teams to source and develop world-class products with world-class services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project/Vendor/People Management Execution

• Lead/Support supplier sourcing, evaluation and selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, relationship management, and continuous improvement;
• Lead the team to generate productivity/VE/VA, cashflow and perform to all KPIs developed.
• Lead the team to work closely with category managers, segments sourcing, Product Management, and Engineering, to develop technology and/or Products successfully;
• Develop and maintain strong regional supplier relationships, including supplier site visits and relationships at all levels of their organization;
• Track and report on sourcing project execution, monitoring spend, business allocation, capability gap analysis and facilitate cross-functional review and evaluation;
• Develop strategies for the mitigation of risk in the supply chain, overall and for specific new product programs;
• Organize and lead regular strategic supplier business reviews (QBR).
• Coach and empower employees to fulfill their job responsibilities with good achievements.
• Other responsibilities assigned by line manager from time to time.

Process

• Manage implementation of agreements and integration of key suppliers, performance monitoring, ongoing supplier and contract management;
• Assist in the development and enhancement of processes; systems and reporting capabilities to drive efficiencies and cost savings;
• Help improve processes and leverage technology to reduce costs, identify and implement best practices, and measure performance;
• Contribute to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction efforts and initiatives to achieve the benefits.

• Great ability to work with cross-functional departments to resolve conflicts and issues, align cross-functional departments towards to the same objectives and goals.
• Excellent communication skills, written & verbal.
• Ability to manage long lead-time product deliveries in support of production.
• Working knowledge of assembly & manufacturing processes.
• Thorough knowledge of Purchasing Law and Uniform Commercial Code.
• Good understanding of trade compliance and Conflict Minerals compliance
• Thorough understanding of financial impact of decisions.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge with mechanical and electrical commodities
• Ability to mine for and analyze data, using a total cost of ownership approach, to derive sourcing strategies and conclusions.
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university and 10 years+ related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual; English and Hindi preferred.
• Sourcing in a Manufacturing/Engineered Product environment.
• Experience in executing Sourcing & Project Management initiatives in a matrix corporate environment.
• Related working experiences in Power System or Automative industries are preferred.
