About this role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers and technical resources.
- Support continuous improvement and skill enhancement of team members
- Manage day-to-day engineering operations and resource allocations
- Build strong working relationships with product, business, and technology partners
- Provide estimations, prioritize engineering tasks, and adjust plans as needed
- Support Agile processes and ensure adherence to engineering best practices
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions with direct reports
- Manage work in progress (WIP) and help teams balance capacity
- Translate product roadmaps into engineering work items and execution plans
- Support data driven decision making for technical investments
- Assess challenges, propose solutions, and escalate issues when required
- Collaborate with architecture and security teams to meet technical standards
- Support process improvements and adoption of emerging technologies
- Manage small to medium sized projects and cross-team collaboration
- Assist with budget awareness for resources, tools, and operational needs
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and resolve team level conflicts
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative engineering culture.
- Qualification: Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science or related fields
- Years of Experience: 8-14 years of experience: In Software Engineering, People management; In stakeholder management; In software development; In software architecture; In Engineering standards, Processes and Frameworks
- 2+ years of experience: In a management position
