Manager / Senior Manager - Retail Sales

Role & responsibilities

• Drive sales and business development activities to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Identify, acquire, and onboard new customers, including MSMEs, distributors, warehouses, and manufacturers.
• Generate business opportunities for Full Truck Load (FTL) transportation and improve outbound and return-load utilization.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, shippers, brokers, and transport partners.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and service agreements with customers.
• Identify new markets and business opportunities through market research and competitor analysis.
• Work closely with operations and planning teams to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Drive customer retention, repeat business, and long-term account growth.
• Monitor sales performance, revenue, margins, and customer acquisition metrics.
• Maintain accurate sales reports, customer pipelines, and business performance trackers.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1012+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Account Management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
• Experience in the Full Truck Load (FTL) segment will be an advantage.
• Strong expertise in customer acquisition, freight negotiation, and key account management.
• Good understanding of freight markets, transportation networks, and shipper-broker relationships.
• Proven ability to generate new business and achieve sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with CRM tools.
• MBA / PGDM in Business Management preferred.
• Knowledge of local markets and customer segments across the assigned territory.
