Manager/Senior Manager - Compliance Advisory - NBFC

Role Overview:

We are looking for a compliance professional with strong experience in RBI and NBFC regulatory requirements to provide advisory support across business, products, and regulatory matters.

The role will be responsible for tracking regulatory developments, driving implementation, supporting new product launches, and coordinating with senior management, Legal, Audit, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Track, analyse, and disseminate RBI circulars, notifications, guidelines, and regulatory updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

- Assess the impact of regulatory changes on business operations, products, and processes and provide actionable compliance guidance.

- Develop and maintain regulatory implementation checklists, trackers, and compliance frameworks.

- Prepare regulatory presentations and decks for Board and Board-level committee updates.

- Partner with business teams to implement regulatory requirements and provide ongoing compliance advisory.

- Oversee compliance requirements for partnership products, including maintaining regulatory checklists for digital lending partner onboarding.

- Review new products, processes, and business initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance prior to launch.

- Draft and update internal compliance policies, processes, guidelines, and operating procedures.

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to close compliance gaps and ensure timely implementation of regulatory requirements.

- Support preparation of responses to RBI queries, inspections, notices, and other regulatory correspondence.

- Work closely with Legal, Internal Audit, Risk, and business teams on regulatory and compliance matters.

- Monitor implementation status and escalate key compliance risks, gaps, and regulatory issues to senior management.

- Promote a strong compliance culture through awareness, guidance, and stakeholder engagement.

- Keep abreast of evolving RBI, NBFC, digital lending, and other applicable regulatory and statutory requirements.

Required Candidate Profile:

- 5 - 7 years of overall experience, with at least 3 - 5 years in a Bank, NBFC, fintech, or regulated financial services organization.

- Strong experience in regulatory compliance, preferably with exposure to RBI/NBFC regulations and compliance advisory.

- Experience in regulatory tracking, impact assessment, implementation checklists, policy drafting, and compliance reporting.

- Exposure to digital lending, partnership products, or fintech business models will be preferred.

- Strong understanding of RBI regulatory and statutory requirements applicable to NBFCs.

- Experience interacting with senior management and coordinating with Business, Legal, Audit, Risk, and other stakeholders.

- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business/process requirements.

- Willingness and ability to continuously learn and stay updated on evolving regulatory and statutory requirements.

- CS or MBA preferred
