Job Description - General Manager - Sales Business Development
Department: Freight Forwarding Projects
Location: Gujarat
Function: Sales Business Development
Key Responsibilities
-
- Drive new business development across Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearance and Project Logistics.
- Identify, approach and onboard new customers and key corporate accounts.
- Achieve assigned Revenue, Gross Profit (GP) and volume targets.
- Develop existing accounts through cross-selling and increased business share.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through customer meetings, networking and market mapping.
- Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate rates, and close business opportunities.
- Work closely with Pricing, Operations and Customer Service teams for competitive solutions and smooth execution.
- Monitor customer profitability, credit exposure, and collections.
- Track market trends, competition, and potential business opportunities.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
- Submit periodic sales pipeline, Revenue and GP reports to management.
