Manager QA/QC (Civil)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manager QA/QC (Civil) to be based at our Head Office. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating quality assurance and quality control activities across ongoing projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate QA/QC activities for Civil Construction projects from the Head Office.
• Develop, implement and monitor Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements and Quality Procedures.
• Coordinate with project/site QA/QC teams and provide technical guidance on quality-related matters.
• Review quality reports, inspection reports, test reports, NCRs and quality documentation received from project sites.
• Monitor closure of NCRs, observations, punch points and corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable IS Codes and quality standards.
• Review quality requirements for civil works including RCC, foundations, structural works, masonry, flooring, finishing and other construction activities.
• Monitor quality of construction materials including cement, steel, aggregates, concrete and admixtures.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, third-party agencies and project teams for quality inspections and audits.
• Conduct / coordinate internal quality audits and project quality reviews.
• Monitor calibration, testing and inspection records and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare and review QA/QC MIS, quality performance reports and management reports.
• Analyse recurring quality issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Conduct periodic visits to project sites as required.
• Support management in strengthening and improving the company's overall QA/QC systems and processes.

Candidate Profile

• BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 9 to 12 years of relevant experience in QA/QC – Civil.
• Candidates with experience in Industrial Construction / Thermal Power Construction / EPC Projects will be preferred.
• Strong experience in civil construction quality control, inspection, testing and documentation.
• Good knowledge of ITP, Method Statements, NCR, MIR, WIR, Quality Plans and Quality Dossiers.
• Knowledge of applicable IS Codes, construction specifications and testing procedures.
• Strong coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Word.
• Willingness to travel to project sites whenever required.
