Position Purpose and Summary

A detail-oriented and analytical professional with expertise in Merchandising MIS, Pricing Validation, and Discount Management. Skilled in preparing comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to support strategic decision-making for inventory, category performance, and pricing accuracy. Adept at managing discount structures, validating SKU-level pricing, and ensuring data integrity across systems. Demonstrates strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Category, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT teams to drive operational efficiency and profitability. Proven track record in delivering ad-hoc analytical solutions and supporting leadership with actionable insights.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. MIS - Reports and Presentations for Inventory & Category Functions

• Prepare and maintain inventory reports including stock levels, aging, and movement trends.
• Align inventory budgets with category and store requirements track adherence to planned budgets.
• Generate weekly store alignment reports to ensure stock availability and replenishment accuracy.
• Create Sales Reports comparing Plan vs Actual performance at category, store, and SKU levels.
• Develop and present Gross Margin reports for management review, highlighting variances and trends.
• Design dashboards and presentations for leadership meetings and category reviews.

2. Discount Masters Report and Exception Reporting

• Maintain and update Discount Master files on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.
• Track and monitor discount budgets utilized across the business for future reference and analysis.
• Identify and report exceptions (e.g., unauthorized discounts, deviations from policy) to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide insights on discount effectiveness and impact on margins.

3. Pricing Validations at SKU Level & Master Implementations

• Validate pricing at SKU level to ensure accuracy across systems and stores.
• Review pricing consistency within the same category highlight mismatches to the Category Team for correction.
• Support implementation of pricing masters.
• Ensure timely updates of price changes and promotional pricing in all relevant platforms.

4. Ad-hoc Reporting and Functional Presentation Needs

• Respond to ad-hoc data requests from merchandising team.
• Prepare functional presentations for reviews, strategy meetings, and cross-functional discussions.
• Provide quick turnaround on urgent analytical requirements during seasonal or promotional periods

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Category Managers, Finance, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to ensure alignment on pricing, inventory, and discount strategies.
• Coordinate with IT/ERP teams for system updates and data integrity.
• Support Marketing for promotional planning and pricing communication.
