Manager - Plant Finance - Manufacturing

Job Purpose:

Lead and manage all finance functions, ensuring accurate reporting, statutory compliance, effective financial controls and strategic support to business operations.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis.

- General ledger management and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

- Preparation of internal financial statements in accordance with German GAAP/corporate reporting requirements.

- Preparation of quarterly financial statements for banking institutions.

- Treasury management, cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and working capital management.

- Cost accounting, inventory valuation, product costing and variance analysis.

- Corporate taxation, statutory compliance and regulatory reporting.

- Accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll accounting oversight.

- Budget consolidation and monitoring of departmental expenditure.

- Internal controls, financial governance and risk management.

- Coordination of internal and external audits.

- Banking relationships, financing and insurance administration.

- Asset accounting, fixed asset valuation and depreciation.

- ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and financial reporting systems.

- Contract review and commercial financial evaluation.

- Debt collection support for subsidiaries and customers.

- Leadership and development of finance staff.

- Collaboration with Production, Purchasing, Supply Chain, HR, Quality, IT and Corporate Finance.

- Liaison with banks, auditors, tax authorities, consultants, suppliers and customers.

Financial Management:

Plan, coordinate and oversee treasury, accounting, budgeting, taxation, cash management, financial analysis and cost control while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Reporting:

Prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual management reports, internal corporate reports, German GAAP reports and banking reports.

Budget & Cash Flow:

Develop annual budgets, monitor performance, analyse variances and maintain monthly cash flow forecasts.

Compliance & Audit:

Ensure statutory compliance, coordinate audits and maintain effective internal financial controls.

Leadership:

Supervise finance personnel, establish departmental procedures and support continuous improvement.

Health, Safety & Environment:

Report unsafe conditions, participate in HSE training, promote environmental protection and comply with waste handling and resource conservation requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or Chartered Accountant. MBA/Master's preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 35 years in a similar Finance Manager role, preferably in manufacturing.

7. Periodic review of ICEGATE portal for notices & communications

- Foreign Currency Financial Transactions

- Foreign currency payments/receipts (Import/export settlements)

1. Exchange rate risk monitoring & Forex gain/loss accounting

2. Cross-border remittances (royalty, technical fees, dividends, inter-company loans)

3. FEMA Compliance for foreign direct investment (FDI) / overseas transactions

4. External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) compliance & reporting (if applicable)

5. Coordination with AD category-I banks for forex transactions

6. Preparation of form A1 / A2

7. Foreign currency bank account reconciliation

- Direct Taxes (Income Tax)

1. TDS calculation, deposit & quarterly return filing

2. Advance Tax computation & deposit

3. Form 26AS reconciliation & Form 16/16B/TBR generation

4. Periodic review of Income Tax, SFT & TRACES portals for notices

- Indirect Taxes (GST)

1. Monthly GST calculation & deposit

2. RCM compliance

3. GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B filing (monthly/quarterly)

4. GSTR 2A/2B reconciliation & GSTR-7A filing

5. GST portal review for notices

6. GST on import of goods/services & IGST credit reconciliation

- Payroll & Employee Management

1. End-to-end payroll processing (master data, attendance, incentives, arrears, TDS/PF/PT/ESIC deductions)

2. Salary slips & Form 16 issuance

3. PF, PT & TDS statutory filings

4. Employee query resolution

5. New employee setup & full & final settlements

6. Leave Management System (LMS) oversight

7. Expense Claim Module administration

- Yearly & Audit Services
