Manager - Operations & SCM

Job Summary

Operations & SCM Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing end-to-end FMCG operations across the Indian market. The role ensures smooth production planning, inventory control, logistics, and distribution while maintaining cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high service levels across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operations and supply chain activities across pan-India markets.
• Plan and execute demand forecasting, production planning, and dispatch schedules.
• Coordinate with SCM partner, third-party manufacturers, and co-packers.
• Manage inventory across depots, C&F agents, distributors, and warehouses.
• Oversee primary and secondary logistics to ensure timely market servicing.
• Liaise with transporters, C&F agents, and distributors to improve turnaround time.
• Ensure GST compliance, e-way bills, documentation, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor SCM and operations KPIs such as fill rate, OTIF, inventory turns, and costs.
• Prepare MIS reports, sales vs. dispatch analysis, and stock ageing reports.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives in logistics, warehousing, and operations.
• Handle escalations related to supply shortages, damages, or service failures.
• Lead and mentor junior operations and SCM team members.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Indian FMCG supply chain and distribution models.
• Hands-on experience with depots, C&F operations, and distributor management.
• Good understanding of GST, logistics compliance, and documentation.
• Proficiency in Zoho,ERP/SAP, Tally, and advanced MS Excel.
• Strong coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage high volumes and fast-moving SKUs

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Science, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Commerce
• MBA / PG Diploma in Operations or SCM preferred
• 8 -12 years of experience in FMCG operations & SCM within the Indian market
