Manager NPD– Tractors, 8+ yrs exp in Prototype & SOP creation

We have been retained by largest Tractor Manufacturing company to identify & select:

Manager NPD Tractors at Hoshiarpur.

Key Responsibilities:

BOM Transition & Alignment: Convert EBOMs into actionable MBOMs within ERP/PLM systems, ensuring accurate component structure, phantom assemblies, part routing, and consumption points for manufacturing lines.

Prototype Build & Trials: Lead physical proto-builds, pilot runs, and pre-production trials; identify design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) constraints early in the launch phase.

SOP Creation & Process Planning: Draft, validate, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), process flow diagrams, and line balancing plans for shop floor execution.

Cross-Functional NPD Execution: Collaborate with R&D, SCM, Quality, and Plant Operations to track parts readiness, resolve fitment issues, and achieve key project gateway milestones on schedule.

APQP & Gate Reviews: Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) deliverables—including Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Control Plans (PCP), and tooling readiness for SOP handover.

What We're Looking For:

Geographic Preference: Strong preference for candidates from the Punjab region or with deep familiarity with the region.

Experience: 8+ years of dedicated experience in New Product Development (NPD) and Manufacturing Engineering within the tractor, commercial vehicle, or automotive manufacturing sectors.

Domain Expertise: Advanced proficiency in EBOM to MBOM conversion, proto-building, assembly process planning, and PLM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Teamcenter, Windchill).

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive, or Production Engineering.
