Manager - Network Administrator

Sikich is seeking a Network Administrator responsible for administering, managing, and securing the companies network and infrastructure across India and US operations. This is a hands-on, infrastructure-focused role that maintains local infrastructure in India while providing support to US-based systems. The role requires a deep command of on-premises network environments, Windows Server, Entra ID and Azure cloud infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for critical outages and alerts, triaging and resolving issues with a sense of urgency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Diagnose network hardware problems and coordinate repair or replacement as needed.
• Configure and maintain network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN systems.
• Support Windows Server environments including basic administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Test network connectivity, validate configurations, and perform network diagnostics.
• Monitor network device logs and alert systems to identify and respond to issues proactively.
• Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and resolutions for knowledge base and audit purposes.
• Provide incident response and coordination with other departments and external vendors when necessary.
• Perform routine network maintenance activities and device health checks.
• Maintain and update network documentation and device configurations.
• Install, configure, and setup network equipment including cabling, switches, routers, firewalls, and physical infrastructure.
• Support Azure infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and cloud services as needed.
• Participate in other IT infrastructure related projects and tasks as needed.
• Provide tier-2 and tier-3 escalated support, managing and resolving tickets sent to the infrastructure queue.
• Serve as the lead technical resource for the India IT team, offering technical mentorship, guidance and knowledge sharing to junior staff.

Requirements for Successful Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in network administration or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and DNS/DHCP.
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools and diagnostics.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Experience with Windows Server administration.
• Foundational knowledge of Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
• Experience with wireless networking.).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with methodical problem-solving approach.
• Clear communication skills with ability to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical users.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure issues.
• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to provide off-hours support for critical US infrastructure issues.
• Comfort working with networking equipment and cabling.
