Manager MEP Procurement ( HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting & Plumbing )

We are hiring for Manager MEP Procurement HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting & Plumbing at Chennai locaiton

Experience: 10- 15 years in MEP Procurement / Contracts in Construction, EPC, Infrastructure or large projects.

Qualification: B.E./ B. Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Strong hands-on expertise in HVAC procurement and tendering is mandatory.
• Should have good knowledge of Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, STP, WTP and associated MEP systems.
• Experience in procurement of HVAC equipment, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, VRF/VRV, pumps, ducting, piping, insulation and HVAC controls.
• Experience in Electrical packages including HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, cables, bus ducts, lighting and earthing systems.
• Experience in Fire Fighting / Fire Protection systems, including pumps, hydrant, sprinkler, piping, valves and fire alarm-related packages.
• Good understanding of Plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sanitary systems, hot water systems, pumps, tanks and associated materials.
• Experience in procurement/tendering of STP, WTP, RO, sewage treatment and water treatment systems, including equipment and specialist subcontract packages.
• Capable of preparing and reviewing BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, scope of work and complete MEP tender packages.
• Should independently handle RFQ/tendering, vendor prequalification, technical evaluation and techno-commercial comparisons.
• Strong experience in vendor development, OEM identification, specialist contractor selection and vendor performance management.
• Strong commercial negotiation, cost benchmarking, value engineering and alternate-make evaluation capabilities.
• Should coordinate effectively with MEP Consultants/PMC, Design, Project, Site and Commercial teams for technical and procurement decisions.
• Experience in managing long-lead items, procurement schedules, manufacturing, inspection, delivery and project requirements.
• Should have experience in e-tendering/reverse auction, PO/WO finalization and management approval processes.
• Candidates with experience in large commercial, institutional, hospital, hotel, residential or campus projects will be preferred.
• Strong technical, commercial, analytical, negotiation and team-management skills with the ability to independently drive MEP procurement from tender stage to final delivery
