Manager Manufacturing Engineering (Weld Shop)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Manager Manufacturing Engineering to lead the setup, installation, trial, and commissioning of Robotic Weld Lines

Role & responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning :

• Spearhead end-to-end on-site installation, tryout, and commissioning of automated robotic welding cells (Spot, MIG/MAG, and automated material handling).
• Coordinate robotic reachability, tool center point (TCP) validation, robot-to-PLC interfacing, and safety fencing integration alongside automation vendors and line builders.
• Optimize weld schedules, torch angles, cycle time balancing, and gun paths to achieve targeted Jobs Per Hour (JPH).

CAPEX Budgeting & Project Planning :

• Independently formulate, justify, and control line-level CAPEX budgets for complete robotic weld line setup, tooling, and utility infrastructure.
• Prepare RFQs, execute techno-commercial evaluation of vendor proposals, and track expenditures against approved investment budgets.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering.
• Experience: 9 to 15 years
• Budget Ownership: Proven hands-on experience in estimating, building, and tracking CAPEX budgets for line setup.
• Robotics Exposure: Hands-on familiarity with industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa) and automated welding fixtures/positioners.
