Manager - Machine Shop Production (CNC Machining)

ROLE PURPOSE: Lead day-to-day CNC Machine Shop Production for high-precision engine components, ensuring achievement of Production, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost and Safety targets through strong Shop-floor execution, Machine utilisation, Manpower optimisation and Process discipline.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own shift-wise, daily and monthly production plan achievement.
• Drive effective machine loading, line balancing, manpower deployment and throughput.
• Optimise CNC machine utilisation, cycle time, setup/changeover time and OEE.
• Manage CNC Turning, VMC/HMC and machining centre operations.
• Ensure availability and effective control of tools, fixtures, gauges, coolant and consumables.
• Monitor and reduce breakdowns, idle time, rejection, rework and process losses.
• Drive structured RCA/CAPA for recurring production and quality issues.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, PPC and Engineering for quick resolution of shop-floor constraints.
• Implement Lean, TPM, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Control manpower productivity, absenteeism, overtime and shift discipline.
• Ensure strict adherence to process parameters, SOPs, Control Plans, Quality and Safety standards.
• Develop Supervisors, Line Leaders, Setters and Operators to build a capable production team.
• Ensure accurate shift production reporting, MIS and escalation of deviations.
