About this role
Role & responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end cold chain logistics and transportation operations.
- Handle reefer vehicles, route planning, dispatch and timely deliveries.
- Ensure required temperature control during storage and transportation.
- Coordinate with transporters, warehouses, distributors and sales teams.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, freight cost and logistics expenses.
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, stock movement and documentation.
- Track and minimize product damage, melting, temperature deviation and losses.
- Manage 3PL/logistics vendors and monitor their performance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and cold-chain SOPs.
- Lead logistics/dispatch teams and drive cost and operational efficiency.
Preferred candidate profile
- 8+ years of experience in Cold Chain Logistics / Supply Chain.
- Experience in temperature-controlled transportation and warehousing.
- Ice Cream / Frozen Food / FMCG industry experience preferred.
- Strong experience in reefer vehicle management, dispatch & distribution.
- Experience handling transporters, 3PL vendors and logistics teams.
- Strong knowledge of cold-chain temperature monitoring and compliance.
- Good understanding of route planning, logistics cost control and delivery operations

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the IT function and act as the technology partner to business heads (production, sales, finance).
- Drive end-to-end implementation, integration, and optimization of ERP systems tailored for manufacturing and distribution.
- Manage existing IT infrastructure and continuously enhance it for reliability, scalability, and security.
- Evaluate, implement, and champion Generative AI tools and applications (chatbots, document automation, AI-assisted forecasting, etc.) across departments.
- Identify and automate repetitive manual processes in accounting, order management, procurement, and customer service.

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in managing IT operations in manufacturing/FMCG.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on implementation experience of ERP systems (preferably Tally, SAP Business One, Zoho, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Deep understanding of manufacturing and sales workflows, and how to digitize and streamline them.
- Proven hands-on experience with Generative AI tools and APIs (OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern IT architecture.
- Strong communication skills, ability to manage change and drive adoption of new technologies.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to lead digital disruption within a traditional setup.
