" Senior License Compliance Consultant

Job Overview

TESCRA India is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior License Compliance Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for engaging with high-value clients, identifying software license compliance issues, and negotiating resolutions. You will leverage your deep understanding of software licensing models and contractual agreements to guide customers through audit processes and secure compliance settlements. This position requires exceptional communication and negotiation skills, particularly at the executive level, and the ability to work independently to deliver quality results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engage with high-value License Advisory prospects, communicating directly with customers to uncover software license issues and ensure they understand potential IP or contractual violations.
2. Negotiate license compliance settlement values and timelines for purchase directly with customers.
3. Initiate and lead audit requests with customers, guiding them through the audit process, presenting findings, and negotiating resolutions.
4. Utilize analytical tools and databases to investigate license compliance prospects.
5. Engage customers at the CXO level to secure cooperation and participation in license compliance engagements and audit processes.
6. Apply critical thinking to interpret and apply software licensing rules to diverse customer software deployment scenarios.
7. Successfully mitigate complex pushback and discussions regarding noncompliance with customers.
8. Proactively establish collaborative relationships with the Sales team to gather necessary information and work collectively towards compliance closures.

Educational Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline. (Industry standard, assumed)
2. Advanced degrees or certifications in IT Asset Management or Software Licensing are a plus. (Industry standard, assumed)

Must-Have Skills

1. 5+ years of customer-facing experience in IT asset management consulting, audit, or customer management.
2. Proven ability to communicate and negotiate effectively at the executive level.
3. Strong understanding of software licensing models, license agreements, and contracts.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
5. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
6. Self-motivated, proactive, and dynamic with the ability to deliver quality work unsupervised.
7. Demonstrated ability to handle complex discussions and mitigate pushback.

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Experience with specific software vendor audit processes (e.g., Adobe).
2. Familiarity with CRM and other sales tracking tools such as Salesforce and SharePoint.
3. Experience in conducting software license audits.
4. Knowledge of various software deployment methodologies.
