About this role
- Lead industrial design and aesthetic development of robots, AMRs, and industrial machines.
- Develop and maintain a consistent product design language and visual identity.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering to ensure designs are feasible, manufacturable, and cost-effective.
- Apply ergonomics and human-centred design for operators, service engineers, and maintenance teams.
- Ensure products comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and certification requirements.
- Develop concepts, CAD models, renderings, and CMF using SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, Fusion 360, KeyShot, Blender, etc.
- Balance aesthetics with functionality, durability, reliability, safety, and industrial operating conditions.
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to optimize cost, complexity, assembly, and manufacturability.
- Lead prototyping, trials, validation, fit-and-finish reviews, and incorporate field feedback.
- Work closely with Electrical, Robotics/Software, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Service teams.
- Drive long-term industrial design strategy, standards, and continuous product improvement.
