Manager -Global Supply Planning(Capacity Planning & Vendor Management)

Job Description:

Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced and strategic Manager - Global Supply Planning to lead our supply planning operations out of the Bangalore hub. In this role, you will manage end-to-end global supply chain planning, partner with international suppliers across multiple time zones, and ensure optimal service levels (OTIF, In-Stock %) while managing inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capacity & Supply Planning: Translate monthly demand inputs into actionable global supply plans, conduct capacity evaluations, resolve production bottlenecks, and ensure alignment with regional need-by dates.
• Inventory & Order Optimization: Calculate and optimize order quantities using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), MOQs, and lead-time constraints to optimize working capital.
• Vendor & Supply Risk Assessment: Proactively identify supplier capacity constraints, delivery risks, and inventory delays. Drive mitigation strategies and lead buy-collaboration processes.
• KPI & Performance Management: Own key metrics including On-Time In-Full (OTIF), In-Stock %, and supplier delivery performance; implement action plans to drive targets.
• S&OP & PO Management: Contribute supply inputs, risks, and scenario planning to the monthly S&OP cycle. Manage PO execution, expedites, and de-expedites.
• Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and mentor direct reports (Supply Planners/Analysts) to drive operational excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Education: Bachelors in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Administration. APICS (CSCP/CPIM) or MBA in Operations is a strong plus.
• Experience: 8-12 years in global supply planning, with at least 2 years of direct people management / team leadership experience.
• ERP Mastery: Strong hands-on experience with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) is mandatory. Blue Yonder (JDA) or Kinaxis experience is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of EOQ, OTIF, In-Stock %, Safety Stock, and Advanced Excel / MS Office Suite.
• Soft Skills: Excellent international stakeholder management, strong negotiation skills, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to operate calmly under fast-paced deadlines.
