Manager Finance

Designation: Manager Finance (FMCG)

Reports to: Head Finance

Works closely with: Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, HR, Auditors, Tax partners

Key responsibilities and deliverables

• Own month-end closing and deliver monthly P&L and balance sheet review with clear drivers for movement in NSV, gross margin, manufacturing overheads and EBITDA.
• Prepare MIS: ratios, variance and trend analysis; highlight exceptions early and drive ownership with stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and AOP across HO, Plant and all functions: build assumptions, run scenarios, and track follow-through with functions.
• Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors and tax consultants; ensure timely responses and closure of observations.
• Work with operations and procurement teams on cost and margin improvement actions with quantified impact.
• Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards, Companies Act, and internal controls.

Key qualifications required

• Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory.
• Strong understanding of FMCG P&L drivers, working capital, inventory and closing processes.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Finance preferred; expected to work independently on reports, closing and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel and strong written communication.

Experience sought

• 4 to 5 years post-qualification experience.
• FMCG / consumer business exposure in head office finance, business finance or controllership roles.
• Direct handling of month-end closing, MIS, and coordination with auditors/tax partners.
