Manager Finance and Accounts

The Incumbent will be responsible for-

Job Purpose-

To manage plant-level finance, accounting, compliance, and controls while partnering with operations to ensure cost efficiency, accurate reporting, and adherence to statutory requirements.

Role Accountabilities-

Financial Accounting & Reporting-

1. Ensure accurate and timely book closure on a monthly basis.

2. Prepare P&L, balance sheet schedules, and plant MIS reports.

3. Monitor provisions, accruals, and expense accounting.

Costing & Budgetary Control-

1. Track production cost, material consumption, and variance analysis.

2. Support preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

3. Monitor capex and revenue expenses versus budget.

Plant Commercial Activities-

1. Oversee inventory accounting, and reconciliation.

2. Validate vendor bills, service entries, and payments coordination.

3. Monitor receivables/payables linked to plant operations.

Compliance & Audit-

1. Ensure adherence to statutory requirements including GST, TDS, etc.

2. Support internal and external audits.

3. Maintain proper documentation and internal controls.

Inventory & Asset Management-

1. Ensure physical verification of inventory and fixed assets.

2. Control slow/non-moving inventory.

3. Maintain asset capitalization records.

Direct tax -

1. Annual income tax return filing

2. Form 3CB, 3CD filing

Reply to income tax notices

Business Partnering-

1. Work closely with production, purchase, and supply chain teams.

2. Provide financial insights for cost optimization.

3. Support management with data-driven decision-making.
