The Manager – Accounting and Controlling is responsible for operating expense accounting and forecasting, direct tax and banking operations, and supervision of a two-member accounts payable team. The role manages month-end close and variance analysis to support accurate financial reporting and expense control.

This position reports to the Director Finance and is part of the India Finance team located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Manage operating expense accounting, including payroll accounting, to support accurate month-end financial reporting.
• Manage month-end close activities for operating expenses and analyse variances to explain expense movements.
• Prepare operating expense forecasts to support expense planning and control.
• Manage cross-charges for hosted functions and the related accounting.
• Supervise a two-member accounts payable team responsible for end-to-end accounts payable activities.
• Manage direct tax calculations and payments, including tax deducted at source (TDS) and advance tax, and prepare related corporate tax workings and reporting.
• Manage banking operations in support of the India Finance team's accounting and payment activities.
  
  

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.

Minimum of 7 years; prior industry experience is an added advantage.

Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting applications; experience with SAP and Oracle is an added advantage.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Operating expense and payroll accounting, month-end close, forecasting or variance analysis

Accounts payable, direct tax or banking operations
