Manager - Design (Apparel, European Markets)

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop collections of European market's brands that align with brand aesthetics and target market preferences.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market developments to ensure designs are fresh, relevant, and competitive.
• Create detailed sketches and illustrations of design concepts, incorporating graphics and prints where necessary.
• Responsible for Range Planning & Development, New Embroidery Concepts  Development, Buyer Interactions , Buyer   Presentations, New Fabric  Development, Sourcing Prints & Fabrics
• Responsible for design conceptualization in line with the customers needs.
• Developing prints and embroidery with different techniques
• Conduct research on fabrics, trims, and embellishments, considering cost implications and sourcing options.
• Participate in fittings and sample reviews, providing feedback and making necessary adjustments to prototypes.
• Maintain organized records of design concepts, sketches, and specifications for reference and future use.
  

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in fashion design, specifically in designing Womens wovens wear / European market.
• Strong proficiency in illustrations and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Excellent understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes.
• Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of creativity and innovation.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Passion for fashion and a keen interest in staying ahead of industry trends.
