Job Objective

- A data center administrator is an experienced information technology professional who is responsible for overseeing data center operations

- The scope of responsibilities for the data center administrator spans multiple IT disciplines and requires knowledge of hardware, software and the business requirements for computing resources

- The administrator creates and keeps documentation up-to-date and is responsible for capacity planning to ensure the facility meets current and expected power and cooling requirements
- Periodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing and implementing rectification measures
- Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for maintenance of the infrastructure
- Management of the usernames, roles and passwords of all the relevant subsystems, including, but not limited to servers, applications, devices, etc.
- Implementing security on the Internet and Intranet
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Give direction and guidance to team members
- Delegate responsibilities
- Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to Army policies and standards
- Ensure organizational goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide constructive feedback
- Carry out administrative functions
- Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Document technical troubleshooting efforts
