    L3 SIEM - Roles Responsibilities

    Experience (8-12 Years)

    1.Advanced Incident Support Root Cause Analysis

  1. Support L2 in handling complex and critical security incidents

  2. Perform deep forensic analysis and root cause identification

  3. Investigate sophisticated threats (APT, zero-day behavior, stealth attacks)

  4. Provide final technical validation and resolution guidance

    5. 2.SIEM Agent Management

  5. Manage upgrades, patches, and hotfix deployments for System monitor agents

  6. Ensure Log Source MPS volume analysis

    7. 3.Log Source Integration Parsing

  7. Design and onboard new log sources across on-prem and cloud environments

  8. Develop and maintain parsing logic, normalization, and field mappings

  9. Resolve complex ingestion issues (protocol, TLS, format mismatches)

  10. Ensure data quality and consistency across all sources

    11. 4.Detection Use Case Development

  11. Design and implement advanced correlation rules and detection logic

  12. Build new use cases aligned with frameworks like MITRE ATTCK

  13. Integrate threat intelligence feeds and automation into detection workflows

  14. Continuously enhance detection coverage and reduce blind spots

    15. 5.Automation SOAR Integration

  15. Add/Maintain automation workflows and response playbooks

  16. Integrate SIEM with SOAR and other security tools (EDR, IAM, Firewall)

  17. Optimize response time through orchestration and automation

    18. 6.Performance Optimization Troubleshooting

  18. Diagnosing and resolving log source- issues

  19. Optimize pipelines, indexing, and query performance

    20. 7.Governance, Compliance Best Practices

  20. Define SIEM standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices

  21. Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements and support customers on Audits

  22. Maintain documentation for configurations, integrations, and fixes

    23. 8.Collaboration Technical Leadership

  23. Act as the escalation point for L2 and guide them on complex investigations

  24. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing

  25. Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams

    26. 9.Continuous Improvement Innovation

  26. Identify gaps in detection, logging, and response capabilities of log sources

  27. Driving use case enhancements and modernization initiatives

  28. Evaluate and implement new security technologies and integrations and validate overall security maturity assessment.

    29. 10.Reports

  29. Based on customers, Drive Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly/ Quarterly reports

  30. Provide visibility and drive calls with customers.
