Job Summary

The manager - costing & budgeting at Godrej Properties Limited is responsible for preparing project estimates and budgets across various phases of the project lifecycle. This role ensures the accuracy and consistency of cost estimates, supports cost control, and maximises the likelihood of actual cost outcomes aligning with projections. The position involves close collaboration with stakeholders, participation in risk reviews, and the development of procurement strategies. The manager also drives best practices in estimation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project estimates at various phases of the project life cycle and support the estimating manager by adhering to estimating standards to establish the budget for the project.
• Analyse detailed estimates, including area and quantity coefficients and rates, through attribution analysis.
• Prepare quantity take-off for the preparation of Bill of Quantities and Bill of Materials.
• Prepare detailed estimates for Tender Packages along with proper rate analysis based on current market rates.
• Ensure appropriate assessment of costs for all project activities and review all estimates before submission.
• Participate in project risk reviews and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and review strategies and management plans to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities.
• Support the Project in Charge in developing the project procurement strategy.
• Liaise with external consultants and collaborate with various stakeholders for quantity and specification of Tender Packages for projects.
• Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back up estimates and organise by cost work breakdown structure.

Education

• A B.E. in Civil Engineering is required.

Experience

• Work Experience . 15-18 years.

Skills

• Demonstrated experience in preparing project estimates and budgets across multiple project phases.
• Proficiency in analysing detailed estimates, including area and quantity coefficients and rates.
• Ability to prepare Bill of Quantities and Bill of Materials for Tender Packages.
• Strong skills in cost assessment and rate analysis based on market rates.
• Experience in collaborating with stakeholders and external consultants for tender package specification.
• Knowledge of direct and indirect cost application in cost estimation.
• Familiarity with best practices in cost estimating and cost assessment guidelines.
• Capability to develop and improve estimation best practices and procedures.
• Experience in participating in lessons learned processes and implementing improvements.
