The role ensures efficient coordination of site logistics between EPCC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders while minimizing congestion, operational conflicts, safety risks, and schedule disruptions. The position plays a critical role in maintaining organized site execution, maximizing productivity, and supporting smooth construction progress within highly complex and fast-paced project environments.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement comprehensive Construction Logistics Management Plans (CLMP) for large-scale construction projects.
    • Manage overall site logistics operations including material movement, traffic management, workforce access, laydown yards, equipment staging, and temporary facilities coordination.
    • Plan and control space allocation for contractors, storage areas, fabrication zones, offices, parking, utilities, cranes, and heavy equipment operations.
    • Coordinate logistics interfaces between EPCC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, warehouse teams, security, and project management teams.
    • Optimize construction site space utilization to support phased construction activities, workfront availability, and schedule-driven execution.
    • Manage site access routes, haul roads, delivery schedules, gate operations, and transportation coordination to minimize congestion and delays.
    • Monitor material receiving, storage, preservation, inventory movement, and distribution activities across the project site.
    • Coordinate heavy lift operations, crane planning, oversized equipment movement, and critical delivery logistics with contractors and safety teams.
    • Develop site utilization drawings, logistics layouts, traffic circulation plans, and temporary infrastructure deployment strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with project safety standards, environmental regulations, traffic management requirements, and statutory logistics guidelines.
    • Coordinate temporary utilities, temporary facilities, worker welfare infrastructure, and construction support services required for project execution.
    • Identify logistics constraints, space conflicts, bottlenecks, and operational risks impacting construction progress and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Support project scheduling and construction sequencing by ensuring logistics readiness and workfront accessibility.
    • Conduct regular site logistics audits, inspections, and coordination meetings to monitor contractor compliance and operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Planning, Safety, Procurement, Warehouse, and Commissioning teams to ensure integrated project execution.
    • Monitor contractor logistics performance, material handling practices, housekeeping standards, and site organization effectiveness.
    • Maintain logistics documentation including logistics registers, site allocation records, delivery schedules, movement permits, and operational reports.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for site logistics optimization, productivity enhancement, and operational cost efficiency.
    • Support emergency response planning, evacuation logistics, and crisis management coordination during critical project situations.
    • Forecast plan for the resources for logistics and material movement
    • Schedule review considering logistics impact and support for schedule optimization.

    • Familiarity with construction equipment operations, heavy transport logistics, temporary facility planning, and warehouse coordination practices.
    • Proficiency in logistics planning software, BIM coordination platforms, AutoCAD, and construction management systems.
    • Strong organizational, stakeholder management, communication, and operational problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple contractors and logistics activities within fast-paced construction environments.

    Experience Required

    • 10–15+ years of experience in construction logistics management, site operations, industrial project coordination, or large-scale infrastructure project execution.
    • Minimum 5+ years managing logistics operations for EPC/EPCC industrial, semiconductor, data center, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or infrastructure construction projects.
    • Experience in semiconductor fabs, cleanroom facilities, advanced manufacturing plants, or mega construction projects is highly preferred.
    • Proven experience managing contractor logistics coordination, heavy equipment movement, temporary facilities, and site space utilization in complex construction environments.
